Two partners who came to build, and stayed to write it down.
HubLombok is run by two partners who have been developing projects together since 2019. In 2025 we came to Lombok, fell for the island, and realised the south was one of the best places we'd seen to actually build a business: rising demand, real infrastructure, and prices that still make sense.
So we started two things at once: a real estate project we're building and expanding on the ground, and HubLombok, a platform to share what we learn first-hand and become a genuine reference for anyone researching how to invest here, instead of another brochure dressed up as journalism.
Full disclosure: our property work runs through Samudra Villas. The deal we made with ourselves is simple: every article has to be useful even to someone who never buys from us. That's why we cover yield compression honestly, write about legal structures plainly, and point to zones we don't sell in.
How we actually work.
When we say first-hand, we mean the site comes from operating here, not from sitting in a newsroom somewhere else. Our notes come from construction decisions, permitting questions, guest operations, broker conversations, land walks, investor calls, and the daily friction of trying to build something properly in South Lombok. Some shorter market-news pieces are AI-assisted or automated from news-wire style inputs, and we label that work honestly. The longer editorial pieces are where we slow down, add context from what we are seeing on the ground, and separate useful signal from noise.
We publish when we think something will help a serious reader understand the market more clearly. That does not mean every article is positive, or that every claim gets stretched into a sales argument. We only use figures we can verify or explain, and we do not invent audience numbers, press recognition, testimonials, or certainty where there is none. If a rule changes, a project stalls, a price assumption moves, or a better source corrects something we wrote, we update the piece rather than pretending the first version was final.
This site is not a substitute for independent legal, tax, financial, or technical advice. Lombok can be a compelling place to invest, but it is still a real market with real risk, uneven information, and details that matter a lot once money is involved. Readers should do their own diligence, speak with qualified local professionals, and weigh our commercial link to Samudra Villas when reading us. Our aim is to be useful and transparent, not neutral in the abstract or dressed up as something we are not.

- 2019
Two partners start building
We begin developing projects together, learning the hard way how to take an idea from raw land and spreadsheets to something real and operating.
- 2025
Lombok happens
We come to Lombok and fall for the island. Within weeks it's clear the south is one of the best places we've found to build. Demand is rising, the infrastructure is real, and entry prices still make sense.
- 2025
Two projects, one bet
We commit to both: a real estate project on the ground in the south, and HubLombok, a place to share what we're learning first-hand, so people researching the island get the inside view instead of a sales pitch.
- 2026
Where we are now
HubLombok is growing into a reference for foreign investors researching the south, while our property project keeps expanding. Data-first reporting, honest yield math, and legal clarity, all written from inside the market.

"Reads like a long-form financial briefing for property, but focused on a single island."
